RAPID CITY, S.D. – Authorities say Oglala Sioux President Julian Bear Runner was arrested for trespassing over the weekend in Rapid City.
Police say Bear Runner was picked up Saturday night outside a bar on North LaCrosse. Bear Runner was being charged with a misdemeanor charge of trespassing.
He was released on his recognizance and was scheduled to appear in court Monday morning.
The arrest comes after Bear Runner lost his bid for re-election last week to Kevin Killer.
