RAPID CITY, S.D. – Rapid City police say they arrested a man after an apparent gunfight in front of a home Thursday night.
Police say around 11:00 p.m., they responded to a residence in the 200 block of Adams Street, where they found a man suffering from a gunshot wound lying in the driveway of a home.
As first responders began offering medical aid to the wounded individual, another male came out of the home. The man, identified as 39-year-old Casey Brasgalla of Rapid City, was questioned and arrested.
Police found a stolen firearm inside the home beileved to be used in the shooting and say it was stolen. Several drug items were also located in the house.
Brasgalla was placed under arrest for possession of a controlled weapon, possession of stolen firearms, possession of a controlled substance, and drug paraphernalia possession.
The wounded individual was taken to the hospital for treatment of his injuries. They say a handgun was found near where he was shot.
Police continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the shooting.
