RAPID CITY, S.D. – Police in Rapid City have released surveillance video of a suspect seen running from the scene in Wednesday night’s fatal shooting.
Police say the video captures the shooting suspect fleeing from the immediate scene near the intersection of Pine Street and E. North Street.
Moreover, detectives have identified a specific area of interest where the suspect may have traveled on foot shortly after the shooting. Residents in the area are requested to check their security/doorbell cameras for any suspicious activity between 6:55 p.m. and 7:45 p.m. on February 21. Police say if you have relevant footage or information, to contact them.
The woman killed in the shooting was identified as 25-year-old Esther Wolfe of Rapid City. Police have also arrested a suspected accomplice in the shooting. 23-year-old Ezekiel Mayweather was located during the ongoing investigation and brought to the RCPD’s Criminal Investigation Division for questioning. Following the interview, he was taken into custody and arrested as an accomplice in the homicide for Conspiracy to Commit a Felony/First Degree Murder. Mayweather is now in custody at the Pennington County Jail.
