RAPID CITY, S.D. – Rapid City Post 22 dropped their first game at the Firecracker Tournament Friday night with a 7-3 loss to Missoula.
Post 22 fell behind early as the Mavericks scocred 4 in the top of the first inning.
The Hardhats would add 2 in the bottom half, only to see Missoula score another 2 in the fourth and one in the seventh to secure the win.
Dane Fraser went three-for-four at the plate and had two RBIs for the Mavericks.
The Hardhats were led by Jake Goble who also had two RBIs.
Post 22 will wrap up pool play on Saturday with a game against Gillette at 7:30 p.m.
