Rapid City, SD. – It’s all coming together to create a strong bull riding program within the world’s largest pro rodeo organization, the PRCA. And nothing shines a light on the battle between man and beast like the PRCA Xtreme Bull Tour that opens stock show week in the Barnett Arena at The Monument (formerly Rushmore Plaza Civic Center).
From reigning world champions to regional favorites, the odds are up in the air as to how it will all come down for the PRCA Xtreme Bulls performance, Friday, Jan. 39 at 7:30pm. But one thing is certain. There’ll be no shortage of down in the dirt excitement, literally.
PRCA Extreme Bull Tour officials say this is a tour stop that sets the stage for 2021. “It’s all bull riding – all the time. It gives the fans the chance to see bull riding action in one performance. It’s non-stop excitement and the adrenaline is pumping pretty hard all the time,” say organizers.
The Xtreme Bulls tour format features 35+ cowboys participating. The champion will be crowned based on the highest score. The headliners scheduled to compete at the event produced by Rodeo Rapid City include bull riding qualifiers from the National Finals Rodeo. The payout for the event is $35,000.
“We’ve been very pleased with our Xtreme Bull events in Rapid City,” The Suttons are great people to work with, the newly branded The Monument is as good as any facility in the country, and the Rapid City tourism folks are all very supportive of what we do.”
