RAPID CITY, S.D. – The Rapid City Fire Department was dispatched to a structure fire shortly after 1:00 p.m. Thursday afternoon at the 3700 block of Sturgis Road.
When crews arrived on scene of the Family Inn, they could see light smoke coming from one of the rooms of the motel.
Once crews gained access to the room, they were able to put out the fire quickly.
It was contained to just the one room and remains under investigation.
There were no injuries.
