STURGIS, S.D. – The Annual Sturgis Spirit Cheer and Dance Competition was held Thursday night at West Gymnasium.
Rapid City Stevens won the overall Cheer category, scoring 143. Rapid City Central placed second with 138 and the home team Scoopers came in third with 134 points.
Winning the overall dance competition was Rapid City Stevens with a cumulative 343.5 points. Rapid City Central was second with 334.5 and Lakota Tech came in third.
Stevens, en-route to the dance title, won the Hip Hop and Jazz category. Rapid City Central won the pom category.
