RAPID CITY, S.D. – The South Dakota high school state volleyball championships wrapped up on Saturday at the Summit Arena in Rapid City.
The Rapid City Christian Comets were hoping to capture their first ever state volleyball title, however, top-seed Sioux Falls Christian proved to be to much for the Comets.
The Chargers claimed their seventh straight Class ‘A’ volleyball title with a win over Rapid City Christian, 3 sets to 1.
The set scores were 25-15, 22-25, 25-23 and 25-14.
Ana Egge finished with 22 kills and four blocks for the Lady Comets.

Championship: Harrisburg defeated Sioux Falls Washington 3-1 (25-18, 15-25, 25-22, 25-20)
3rd Place: Sioux Falls Jefferson defeated O’Gorman 3-0 (25-18, 25-12, 25-21)
5th Place: Watertown defeated Brandon Valley 3-1 (25-20, 25-21, 21-25, 25-19)
7th place: Sioux Falls Lincoln defeated Aberdeen Christian 3-1 (25-21, 23-25, 25-15, 25-17)

Championship: Sioux Falls Christian defeated Rapid City Christian 3-1 (25-15, 22-25, 25-23, 25-14)
3rd Place: Dell Rapids defeated Miller 3-0 (25-15, 25-20, 25-21)
5th Place: Dakota Valley defeated Platte-Geddes 3-1 (23-25, 25-20, 25-21, 25-16)
7th Place: Wagner defeated Lennox 3-0 (25-20, 25-19, 25-18)
