STURGIS, SD – The Sturgis Scooper volleyball team tallied 11 aces and 35 kills enroute to a straight set victory over the Lead-Deadwood Golddiggers on Thursday night at West Gymnasium. Â
The Scoopers won the match 25-14, 25-20 and 25-16 to get their fifth win of the season. Sophomore Tori Williams had 23 assists, four kills and two aces for Sturgis. Freshman Danica Dschaak added five kills and Olivia Vliem delivered six aces for the Scoopers (5-17).
Outside hitter Erica Hansen had four kills, two assists and a block for Lead-Deadwood (3-24).Â
Sturgis travels to Rapid City Christian next Tuesday to take on the Lady Comets, who are 28-5 on the year.Â
