STURGIS, SD — The Sturgis Scooper volleyball team wrapped up their 2022 campaign with a three set victory over the Rapid City Central Cobblers at West Gymnasium on Senior Recognition Night.

The Scoopers beat the Cobblers 25-21, 25-14 and 25-18 to finish the year with five wins and 25 losses. Sturgis finished outside the top 16 teams in seed points and did not make the postseason.

Freshman Faith King led the Scoopers with 16 assists, nine kills and four aces. Junior Norah Iverson contributed nine kills, four aces and two blocks. Senior Rachael Banks capped off a great volleyball career with eight aces and three kills.
