Semi truck hauling wind turbine blade collides with cattle truck at Sundance

SUNDANCE, Wyo. – A tractor-trailer hauling a wind turbine blade was involved in a crash with a cattle truck near Sundance on Wednesday.

The Sundance Times reported the crash happened around 11:00 a.m. when the semi hauling the wind turbine blade attempted to round the corner into the Port of Entry and collided with the cattle truck.

The crash caused the blade to impact with the both the cattle truck and the pilot vehicle, which caught fire as a result of the collision.

Sundance Fire Department, EMS, Wyoming Highway Patrol and the Crook County Sheriff’s Office were among those agencies that responded to the incident.

No injuries were reported and the exit into the Port of Entry was shut down while crews cleared the scene.

The accident remained under investigation.
