SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – Semifinals and third and fourth round consolation matches are complete at the State B Wrestling Tournament in Sioux Falls.
At 106 pounds, Tray Weiss of Custer dropped his semifinal match to Karstyn Lhotak of Wagner. Weiss then defeated Connor Gied of Howard and will wrestle for third place against Brady Risetter of Redfield. Tuckker Boe of Philip wrestles for 7th place.
At 113 pounds, Riley Scott of Custer stays alive and has made his way to the consolation finals. He will wrestle Teegan Herrick Holden Hawkins of Sisseton for third place.
At 120 pounds, Kipp Cordes of Philip lost his semifinal match to Kellan Hurd and faced Ian Metz of Sisseton in the consolation semifinals., where he won in a close match 6-5. He will wrestle Kasen Konstanz of Kimball-White Lake-Platte-Geddes for third. Cade Martian of Harding County wrestles for 7th place later today.
At 126 pounds, Landon Woodward of Custer lost his semifinal to Ayson Rice of Canton and won his next wrestleback. He is in the consolation final to take on Jace Blasius of Philip for third place. Blasius wrestled Hadley Tobin of Mount Vernon/Plankinton to reach the consolation final.
At 138 pounds, Ryker Peterson of Philip is in the consolation finals and will wrestle Andy Meyer of Canton for third place. He defeated Joey Hoverson of Woonsocket/Wessington Springs to get there. Braden Weiss of Custer will wrestle for 7th place.
At 145 pounds, Thane Simons of Philip will wrestle for 7th place.
At 160 pounds, Jonathan Lewis of Custer lost his semifinal match to Mason Fey of Redfield and after defeating Lucas Lenz in the semifinal, he will wrestle Riley Orel of Winner Area for the consolation championship.
At 170 pounds, Burk Blasius is headed to the championship match after getting a pin on Lucas Kannegiete of Clark/Willow Lake. He will wrestle Keegan Haider of Woonsocket/Wessington Springs/Wolsey-Wessington. Parker Noem of Custer has battled back, and defeated Ben Swatek of Elk Point/Jefferson for a chance at the consolation championship. He will wrestle Lucas Kannegieter.
At 195 pounds, Caleb Rickenbach of Hot Springs is in the consolation championship with a win over Levi Nightingal of Kimball/White Lake/Platte-Geddes. He will wrestle Taron Serr of Burke/Gregory.
And, at 220 pounds, Tanner Davis of Hill City will wrestle Grey Gilbert of Harding County for 7th place.
