Stevens, Central capture wins at Spearfish Spirit Competition

SPEARFISH, S.D. – The Sturgis Scoopers joined several schools in competing at the Spearfish Spirit Invitational held Monday at Spearfish High School.

Rapid City Stevens captured the Competitive Cheer competition by scoring 136 points. Belle Fourche was second with 108, followed by Douglas in third, Hot Springs in fourth and Sturgis in fifth.

Rapid City Stevens also won the Jazz category in the Competitive Dance competition. The Raiders finished with 154 points. Douglas/St Thomas More was second and Sturgis placed third.

Rapid City Central won  the Hip Hop and Pom categories as well as the average.

Rapid City Stevens was second in the average with Douglas/St Thomas More in third and Sturgis in fourth.
