Sturgis Ambulance Director to represent South Dakota as USA Ambassador

STURGIS, S.D. – Sturgis Ambulance Director Shawn Fischer has been selected to serve as Ms Mount Rushmore USA Ambassador.

Shawn’s platform is bringing awareness to the commitment and service of first responders.

Shawn’s husband, Dave, was a first responder and Sturgis Firefighter who lost his life while fighting a house fire in Meade County in September of 2018.

Shawn will be representing South Dakota on a national stage in May.

The USA Ambassador program is a charity-driven pageant that recognizes leadership, integrity, character and confidence in women.
