STURGIS, S.D. – Sturgis fire crews were joined by two other agencies in fighting an early morning house fire Friday.
Fire crews from Sturgis, Fort Meade and Whitewood responded to Blucksburg Drive just outside Sturgis just before 6:00 a.m. Friday.
Crews found a fire in the attic and quickly attacked the blaze, keeping it to the structure of origin. No other structures were threatened.
One firefighters was transported to the hospital, where the person was checked out and released.
There were no injuries to humans or domestic animals reported and the fire’s cause was under investigation.
