MANDAN, N.D. – The Sturgis Scoopers brought home the title of the Mandan Lions Invitational Wrestling Tournament Saturday.
The Scoopers finished on top of the team standings with 312 points. Pierre was second with 278 and Bismarck was third with 242. Rapid City Stevens finished in fifth.
Sturgis crowned four champions on the day. They were Korbin Bunch at 106, Teryn Zebroski at 113, Reese Jacobs at 182 and Zac Juelf at 220.
Sturgis also had two wrestlers in the runner up spot, including Thayne Elshere at 138 and Kalvin Ketelsen at 152.
On the girls’ side, Brooklyn Baird won the title for the Scoopers at 120 pounds and Madison Snyder finished second at 125.
