PIERRE, S.D. – South Dakota health officials reported 624 new cases of COVID-19 in their weekly report issued Wednesday.
Active cases of the virus have dropped to 435 and the number of people hospitalized was at 62.
There were 13 new deaths among cases this past week, sending the state’s death toll to 3,046. Of the new deaths, three were out of Pennington County.
New cases across the Black Hills area included 57 out of Pennington County, 16 in Lawrence County and 11 in Meade County.
Elsewhere, Butte County had 22 new cases, Custer County reported 9 and Fall River County listed four.
