TIMBER LAKE, S.D. – Timber Lake won both the boys and girls team titles of their local last chance track and field meet Monday.
The boys finished with 257 points – well ahead of Herreid/Selby in second with 82 points.
The girls won their team title with 150 points. Herreid/Selby was second with 102.
On the boys side, Timber Lake won 11 events, including a sweep of the relay races. Brenden Begeman of Herreid/Selby was a triple event winner, capturing the 200 meters, the 110 meter hurdles and the shot put.
On the girls side, Timber Lake won 8 events.
Double event winners included Jozi Schuchard of Bison who captured the 100 and 300 meter hurdles.
