PIERRE, S.D. – Health officials in South Dakota reported 128 new cases of COVID-19 in their Tuesday report. Of those 128, 20 were listed under the probable category.
Active cases dropped by four to 2,240 and the number of people hospitalized due to the virus increased by eight to 70.
No new deaths were reported today, so the state’s death toll remains at 1,923.
Across the Black Hills area, there were 8 new cases. Pennington and Meade County each added 3 and Lawrence and Custer County each added one.
There were 499 new persons tested on Tuesday. Tuesday’s new person-tested positivity rate is 25.6%.
