Tuesday’s COVID-19 Update indicate 67 new cases in the state

PIERRE, S.D. – There were 67 new positive tests for COVID-19 in Tuesday’s report according to the State Department of Health.

Beadle County reported the most cases today with 18 new cases. Minnehaha added 15 new cases and Brown County had 10 new positive tests.

In the Black Hills region, Pennington County had 6 new positive tests. There are 129 active cases in Pennington.

Other cases reported Tuesday include 7 in Union, 3 in Lincoln, 2 in Todd, and one each in Codington, Davison, Grant, Hutchinson, Jackson and Jerauld Counties.

The number of active cases of COVID-19 decreased today, down 46 from yesterday to 1,075.

The state did see an another uptick in the number of hospitalizations as 106 people are hospitalized as of today.

3,528 people have recovered with 113 new recoveries as of Tuesday; there were 3,415 recoveries as of Monday.

There were no new COVID-19 related deaths reported in the state today.
