STURGIS, S.D. – The chili was hot and the mood was lively as the Sturgis Alliance of Churches held their annual chili cookout Monday night at the Sturgis Community Center.
The annual get together raises funds for the Alliance, which in turn, helps those less fortunate in the community.
This year’s cook off winner was the Sturgis Presbyterian Church.
This year’s event raised just over $3,000.
On Sunday night, the Sturgis Kiwanis held their annual Hobo Stew supper.
That fundraiser raises money to help the children in the Sturgis community.
