PIERRE, S.D. – South Dakota health officials reported 842 new COVID-19 cases this week. That includes both confirmed and probable cases of the virus. Active cases total 566 this week.
There were 36 new hospitalizations reported and a total of 66 people hospitalized across the state.
A dozen new deaths were reported, sending the state’s death toll to 3,033. Three of those deaths were listed out of Pennington County.

Pennington County had 87 new cases being shown, with Lawrence County adding 18 and Meade County showing 27.
