SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – Governor Kristi Noem recently awarded over $8.3 million in Community Development Block Grants (CDBG) to fund multiple projects across South Dakota.
Two of those projects are in the Black Hills area.
The city of Lead will use just over $503,000 in additional funds to assist with utility improvement projects. Whitewood will use a one million dollar grant to assist with the wastewater treatment facility improvement project.
The CDBG program provides funding to local governments to complete projects that improve living conditions.
