RAPID CITY, S.D. – The South Dakota Department of Corrections says a minimum-security inmate placed on escape status back in November has been apprehended.
The department on Tuesday said inmate Keith Apple had been apprehended and was currently at the Pennington County jail. Details of his capture were not released.
Officials say Apple left the Rapid City Community Work Center on November 7th and was placed on escape status.
Authorities say Apple was serving two concurrent 5-year sentences with two years suspended on each for unauthorized ingestion of a controlled substance.
