DALLAS, S.D. – A Dallas, S.D., man has been identified as the person who died Saturday morning in a two-vehicle crash in Dallas.
Preliminary crash information indicates that a 1996 Jeep Cherokee was southbound on Second Street when it rear-ended a southbound 2013 John Deere Gator UTV.
Samuel Hoffart, the 63-year-old driver of the UTV, was not wearing a seat belt and was thrown from the vehicle. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Alec Dostal of Gregory, 54, was the driver of the Jeep. He was not injured. Charges are pending against him.
South Dakota’s Highway Patrol is investigating the crash.
