Fire crews battle several wildfires over the weekend

UNDATED – It was a busy weekend for fire crews as they battled a handful of small wildfires across the Black Hills area.

On Sunday, the Tick Draw Fire burned just under an acre 6 miles southwest of Wall. The fire is contained and was human caused.

The Minnesota Fire was reported 3 miles northeast of Rochford. The fire had burned just over two acres as of Monday morning and was listed at 50-percent containment. It, too, was human caused.

On Saturday, the 650 fire burned approximately 1.2 acres off Forest Service Road 650, south of Rapid City. It’s cause was unknown.

Also on Saturday, the Rolling Hills Fire burned 12 acres off Rolling Hills Road and Nemo Road in Pennington County.

Both of those fires were listed as contained Monday morning.
