Hereford, Red Angus, Shorthorn and Gelbvieh sales wrap up at Stock Show

RAPID CITY, S.D. – Four more livestock sales highlighted Wednesday and Thursday cattle events at the Black Hills Stock Show.

In the Hereford Sale, 26 lots of bulls sold for a total of $128,500. A total of 9 lots of yearling heifers sold for a total of $30,500. And, 2 bred heifers sold for a total of $12,500.

The top selling Hereford bull sold for $13,500. It was BAR STAR CONNERY 007 ET. The top selling yearling heifer fetched $6,250. She was KEBW MS 45C MILEY RAMPAGE 1H.

At the Red Angus sale, 22 lots of bulls sold for $71,750. Top selling bull was BJF UNO  0001H, and sold for $5,500.

Six lots of yearling heifers sold for a total of $19,250. Top selling heifer was BJR CARLY 0102H and sold for $7,500.

One bred heifer sold for $10,000.

At the Gelbvieh sale, 20 lots of bulls sold for a total of $94,250. Top selling bull was BABR 1307H and sold for $13,000.

Three lots of yearling heifers sold for $11,600 with the top selling heifer fetching $7,000.

And, at the Shorthorn sale, 8 lots of bulls sold for a total of $18,350. Top selling bull, WR JAX PRIDE 008, sold for $4,400.

Five yearling heifers sold for a total of $9,900. Top selling heifer, SHALIMAR 15F CATHERINE 063, sold for $2,500.

One bred heifer sold for $4,100.
