RAPID CITY, S.D. — The Pennington County Sheriff’s Office and Rapid City Police say a Rapid City man has been arrested in connection with an incident late Tuesday night that left a 19 year old male dead from a gunshot wound.
Authorities are investigating the apparent homicide which occurred at a mobile home residence at 8980 S. Highway 16 in Rapid City. The incident was reported Tuesday, November 24, about 11:36 p.m.
Jason Ray Sharp, 43 of Rapid City has been arrested and faces charges of 2nd degree murder. He is currently in the Pennington County jail.
The identity of the victim is being withheld pending notification of family.
The Pennington Sheriff’s Office and Rapid City Police Department continue to jointly investigate the circumstances surrounding this homicide.
An autopsy is scheduled for today.
