RAPID CITY, S.D. – Rapid City police say a man wanted in connection with a shooting death on the Pine Ridge Reservation is in custody.
Police surrounded a home in the 300 block of Curtis Street in north Rapid City Friday evening.
Police spokesman Brendyn Medina says they were lead to the home courtesy of “highly credible information” they received that 26-year-old Colton Bagola was inside.
Bagola was wanted in connection to a Pine Ridge homicide Tuesday. Oglala Sioux Tribe Police Chief Robert Ecoffey identified the victim as Sloane Bull Bear.
After a short standoff, Bagola was taken into custody after surrendering to police.
The F.B.I. and Oglala Sioux Tribe Department of Public Safety are investigating the case.
