RAPID CITY, S.D.- Rapid City Police say four people are under arrest after multiple stolen vehicles and firearms were uncovered Wednesday morning in a Rapid City storage unit.
According to Brendyn Medina, spokesperson for the Rapid City Police Department, the investigation began Wednesday morning with a report of a recovered stolen vehicle at 865 Century Road. Initially, the vehicle was not reported as missing but police were contacted after the reporting party located the car themselves.
When law enforcement arrived, they were able to locate the stolen vehicle, but then noticed an unattended pickup truck nearby. Police ran the plates of the vehicle and determined it was also listed as stolen.
Upon further investigation, officers found more stolen vehicles, including passenger cars, off road vehicles, and motorcycles. Officers also located five stolen firearms.
So far, four arrests have been made in the case, but the investigation is still ongoing and the individuals have not been identified.
