PIERRE, S.D. – There were 67 new cases of COVID-19 in Tuesday’s report from the South Dakota Department of Health. Today’s numbers include reports from the weekend.
Active cases dropped by 163 to 2,756 Tuesday and the number of people hospitalized dropped by 11 to 77.
There were two new deaths among cases reported, sending the state’s death toll to 2,861.
Across the Black Hills area, there were 16 new cases reported and Pennington County had 11 of those cases.
Meade County had 3 and there was one new case each out of Lawrence and Butte Counties.
