PIERRE, S.D. – South Dakota recorded 210 new cases of COVID-19 in their Wednesday report; of which, 38 were probable. New cases were up 53 from yesterday.
Active cases in the state are up 17 to 2,114 and the number of people hospitalized rose by 2 to 73.
Three new deaths were reported today, sending the state’s death toll to 1,904. The deaths reported were two men and one woman who were listed in the 50-59 and 80+ age ranges. None of the new deaths were listed out of the Black Hills area.
New cases across the Black Hills included 19 confirmed and 2 probable in Pennington County for a total of 21. Active cases are at 187 in Pennington.
Meade County added 4 new, confirmed cases and one probable case for a total of 5. Active cases in Meade are down to 57.
In Lawrence, 2 new cases were recorded and the active caseload in the county is at 23.
Other new cases across the Black Hills included 2 each in Custer and Fall River and one new case was recorded in Oglala Lakota County.
