RAPID CITY, S.D. – The Rapid City Fire Department was dispatched to the 100 block of East Watertown Street shortly after 4 Friday afternoon for a report of a structure fire.
Smoke was visible before arriving on scene. When crews did arrive on scene, they noticed fire coming from the front of a trailer house.
Crews attacked the fire inside the home and quickly extinguished the blaze.
They then noticed there was fire underneath the trailer, which took longer to extinguish, due to its location, causing crews to cut the floors to get to the flames.
No one was injured and the home is a total loss.
The cause is under investigation.
