Six new deaths reported in Wednesday’s COVID-19 report

PIERRE, S.D. – The state health department reported 78 new cases of COVID-19 Wednesday.

Active cases are down to 4,166 and the number of people hospitalized held relatively steady at 148.

Six new deaths among cases were reported today, sending the state’s death toll to 2,814.

New cases across the Black Hills area totaled 20 with 8 out of Pennington County, 6 reported in Meade, 3 in Oglala Lakota, 2 from Butte and one in Custer County.
